So for those of us who still play games occasionally (or more than occasionally) what are you playing?

Currently I'm playing Mass Effect. I know this is a few years old, and I've had it for a long time, but never put any time into until recently. I'm really enjoying it. Looking forward to Mass Effect 2 next year.

I plan on playing Dragon Age as soon as I finish Mass Effect.

Rented this one last week at the suggestion of a friend and have been basically addicted to it ever since. Call of Duty meets MadMax in cartoonland (cell shaded game). Awesome game. Role Playing shooter.

I know that some of ya'll are huge Knights of the Old Republic and Sith Lords fans. I absolutely love both of those games. Bioware and Lucas Arts are coming out with a new MMORPG called Star Wars: The Old Republic.

This new expansion was revealed at BlizzCon on Sunday. No clue when it goes live, but if I were a bettin' lady, my money is on around Christmas.

New races: Goblin (Horde) and Worgen (Alliance)

New class / race combinations: such as Troll Druid (yay !)

ALL old content will be changed....drastically.

Alright so it was 2008's GoY so I figured it deserves it's own thread...apperently it's fairly popular with the FPS crowd on PCs also since it's a Havok engine inspired FPS in the vien of HL2 and all of it's wonderful mods...so who has played it and what did you think?

Currently I have fallen into a daily routine of firing this one up on the 360 and playing for an hour or 2, it's fun like that. Great multiplayer game.

So I've been playing Prototype over the last week. Pretty fun for a sandbox/beat 'em up type game. If you love rated R games, then this is definitely for you. I really like the way Mercer moves with the super powers/adaptive parkour thing. Its fun just going around the city. A lot like the Spider-man games.

Also, does anyone have any experience with the iXtreme firmware mod for the 360s DVD player? I had mine modded last Sunday. Its supposed to be very safe to play burned...

Activision threatens to stop making PS3 games

I can honestly say I saw this kinda thing coming a mile away. I don't think it will actually happen...but I did see this coming. Sony will most likely cut thier price before Xmas but it could be traumatic for thier bottom line.

On one hand, they cannot expect to compete with the Wii and the XBOX without...

If you haven't seen what MSoft wowed the media with at E3 then head on over to you tube and you will see a few neat videos of it if you search for E3 2009 Natal. I'll throw some in here later when I am not at work.

Personally I dunno how functional this will actually be, they admit that the games in the one video were just "product visions" and not real games, but the real games they demo'd seemed to have a very tight motion control scheme that looks...

A new game came out on Sept. 7 called Spore. It's by EA games. Very cool game. To me, its kinda like Civ in the way you build your little amoebas and then let them evolve.

Anyways, it came highly recommended to me by Tribunal's very own Corna (one of KoT's monks, if I remember correctly).

Effective today. They announced they were going to do this a while back, which probably contributed to poor hardware sales over the last 2 months or so, but it seems like they are poised to make Sony an alsoran this holiday season if you take the "limited exclusivity" of some games, the far smoother online client, the solid exclusive lineups and the fact that they've robbed alot of Sony's exclusives and now this.

Sony has said they won't lower thier price...

Got the collector's edition with Head Coach. Haven't tried Head Coach yet but for the first time in 5 years I can say that I notice signifigant improvements in gameplay mechanics in Madden 09.

Players with 99 speed ratings actually move fast now. Seattle finally has a fucking shotgun formation (although I can make my own playbook in Head Coach and then import it into Madden). Rewind feature is neat but me and my friends will definately have that turned off during...
